Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season
In a bizarre partnership that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the official statement, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine group.
The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Content
Players who finish the quest will obtain an unique katana in addition to numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
